Santal Mission: Masi Marshal Mander Patki
Origin and development

Patki mission was started by Fr. Hans Hendricks s.j from Dudmu, Kajarkilo. This mission had 5 great catechists who were part of Kajarkilo mission and their willingness to eradicate some of the local religious healing rituals which made the Santals to be paupers and became debt to moneylenders. With this inauguration of mission work among the poor Santals, three energetic nuns belonging to the Congregation of Mother Carmel came forward to help the mission. In 1997, may 3rd a small mud building was erected for the sisters in the name of Carmel Dinda at Muthatandi. In 1998 a small school building was constructed for the local children. From 1996 priests were coming to celebrate Eucharist and other pastoral needs of the people. Few families of Kajarkilo near to Patki also were coming for mass at Muthantandi. In 2011, Patki mission was separated from Kajarkilo and priest started touring around the villages and lived among them. Slowly the number of faithful began to increase step by step.

In 2015: parish priest is Fr. Tintus Dungdung. S.j.
